DeAndrea M. (Yung ROK) Parks, was born November 9th, 1985 in Gainesville, FL. ROK grew a passion for music at a young age, ROK listened to a lot of music growing up, but then it was all words with a sound. ROK resided in Alachua, FL with his mother of four and ROK being the youngest. Yeah, ROK may have been what they call a hard head or knuckle head growing up, but that's just it "ROK's GROWING!" ROK's mother later moved ROK and his other siblings to High Springs, FL where he then started middle school. ROK continued to work on music, while writing in class and at home where he also composed beats (Instrumental) and later became recording himself after years of using the tape deck(old tape recorder) to record himself. ROK later attended high school (Santa Fe)Alachua,FL where he continued to work on music in his spare time after either working or playing sports for his high school. Although ROK would love to devote all of his time to music, the economy has made a few restrictions, that doesn't mean he's not on his GRIND! Although he still believes in his time, Katrina was one of the worst thing's for someone to have to experience.
