Born in 1967 in Providence, Rhode Island. Four months later, after developmental delays, doctors diagnosed Maureen with athetoid cerebral palsy which limits her motor control. In early childhood, she attended Meeting Street School for therapy and education. In 1977, she attended Crotched Mountain, a residential school in Greenfield, New Hampshire.

In early childhood, she attended Meeting Street School for therapy and education. In 1977, she attended Crotched Mountain, a residential school in Greenfield, New Hampshire.

Between the years of 1985 and 1988, Maureen took some college preparatory classes at ConVal Regional High School. In 1988, she received an award for having the highest grade point average in her Music Theory class. In the fall of 1988, Maureen attended New Hampshire Technical College, and went onto attend Roger Williams University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Studies in 1993.

After a year of job searching, Maureen began to write Always A Place. The fictional story, about a woman with cerebral palsy, blossomed from Maureen’s imagination. The first draft took Maureen four years to complete, with further drafts following. It wasn't all pen to paper for Maureen during these fruitful years.

Maureen always had an infinite need to make music, and that, she did. With advances in computer technology with music, she composed a compilation of instrumental pieces titled Live The Beat in 1996, following it up with Revolutions In Time in 2004.

Salute to New York!
As I promised, this new CD came a little bit quicker then Revolutions In Time. Like my past CDs, Soho Blue was a lot of fun to put together, except during the composing of the very last song, when my computer contracted a virus and I couldn't get my Roland to properly work again. So it was out with the old, and in with the new Kore system by Native Instruments. This is a fabulous music system that is going to grow with me as my music grows.

All songs on this CD were written by Maureen Gaynor. All songs are copyrighted. Maureen uses the Coda Finale Music Notation Software program to compose music. The music output on this CD is generated by Kore system by Native Instruments. Maureen has over 400 instruments to choose from within Kore and is easily expandable to thousands of malleable sounds from an accordion to a xylophone. The Kore system works in conjunction with Maureen's computer and the Finale program.

Once the notes are placed on the staff, Maureen can tell the computer to play the notes back through the Kore’s VST (Virtual Studio Technology) once Maureen assigns instruments to staves in the notation software.

All songs were written between March 2007 and August 2009.
