Londyn is a 17-year-old R&B singer-songwriter from Cleveland with the talent and ambition to turn some heads on - what should be, her inevitable journey to stardom. The title track on her new 5-song CD, “Young Girl,” is a contemporary and sophisticated slice of R&B with an irresistible hook and savvy production flourishes. Like Alicia Keys, another singer who started young and carved out her path to success by writing and trusting her own considerable abilities, Londyn displays that same confidence in abundance. In addition to a capella and instrumental versions of the terrific “Young Girl,” her other originals, “Crush On U” and “Dirty,” are Beyonce-like urban anthems that show Londyn is no one-trick pony.
