The band’s aggressive style employs an intricate mix of raw vocals, tempo changes, concise breakdowns, concrete guitar riffs, and a crushingly tight rhythm section.
Lyrically INSIDAIN deal with a whole gamut of dark themes including religion, warfare, graphic violence, hatred, death, drug addiction, Satan and even fictional creatures of nightmare. Drawing stimulus from many quarters the band does not limit itself solely to the realm of traditional metal. While both feet are squarely planted in the death metal corner, INSIDIAN draw on a vast and diverse pool of influence.
An early decision to employ drop D tuning for every song has enabled the band to achieve an ungodly brutal sound. Mixed together with the focused aggression of the vocals, and the unpredictable tempo changes, anything from slow to mid pace, right up to the good ol’ fashion death metal blast-beats, INSIDIAN produces some of the heaviest sonic material this side of hell!
While undeniably heavy the band strives to retain the groove element that is lacking in so much of the heavy music produced today. Brutality, anger and aggression are seamlessly wedded to infectiously catchy rhythms, culminating in extreme yet memorable tunes.
