Maurice Silvera AKA Antonio was born in Jamaica in the parish of Portland. He attended Comprehensive High School in Port Antonio. At an early age of twelve he discovered he had an artistic flare and passion for music. He was easily distracted in class as he was always making beats i.e. drumming his desk and making up rhymes. His entertaining gave him a boost as his school friends use to appreciate his style which in turn gave him the courage and confidence to perform to a wider audience. He started singing on sound systems such as Missile, Prince Ajax and Mafia five. As his music career progressed he got discovered by the Black Lion Camp, and calibrated with Shocking Murray and produced his first single called "Women a you mi want". The response was good which led to a promoter from Austria inviting him and Shocking Murray over to Austria for a festival in 1996, and he performed with various artists such as Jungle Brother and many more. His success in Austria took him across to Germany where he worked on his album which was produced by Sun Vibes. During that time he was touring Holland, Switzerland and many more European countries. His travels took him to the UK where he signed with Jet Star and produced his second album and many singles including his number one hit single "Hero". Antonio is currently working with Newbeyond Allstars Productions. The best is yet to come!!
